# Reading and annotating scores

![CueFlip on iPad Pro, held landscape, with two pages side by side in Sepia: the cover of Mozart’s Symphony No. 40 for two guitars and its first page of music. In front, the Display panel: Sepia chosen over Default and Night, Eye Comfort on, then Brightness and the colours for the Page Rail.](https://cueflip.com/devices/sepia-1400.webp?v=8155d748d0)

## Sepia and Night

Three ways to show the page: as printed, warmed to the colour of manuscript paper for long rehearsals, or inverted so the notation is light on black on a dark stage. A brightness control sits in the reader, so you never leave the score to dim the screen.

## Apple Pencil (Pro)

Write fingerings, breath marks, cuts and reminders with pen, pencil and highlighter. Keep different kinds of marking on separate layers, and hide the ones you do not need today.

The page, from Mozart’s Symphony No. 40 for two guitars, also carries a blue circle, yellow and green highlighter over chords, and a small red warning sign.](https://cueflip.com/devices/annotate-1400.webp?v=95f53442c2)

## Shared with the players around you (Pro)

Pair with another device in the same room using a one-time code, and markings appear on both as they are written. The connection runs directly between the devices; no router and no internet is involved.

## Bookmarks and page editing

Bookmark the places you return to. Reorder, duplicate and remove pages so the score reads in the order you play it; page editing is part of Pro.
